Certified Data Center Facility Operations Manager - CSILTIFM3020
Course Description:
CDFOM is a 3 day course designed to expose participants to the key elements involved managing data center operations including subjects such as capacity planning, the latest green initiatives, how to properly commission and de-commision equipment, compliance to safety standards, managing people, managing vendors, handling incident and crisis management, as well as how to keep operations really simple, manageable, effective and efficient.
The way a data center is managed at the facilities level can make the difference between a 7x24x365 operation and one with frequent and unscheduled downtime. There is often very little appreciation and understanding of the complexities of managing today’s mission critical data centers - especially since many data centers are operating at or near their design limits and downtime is not an option. CDFOM usies proven best practices and standards-based curriculum to provide students with an in-depth knowledge of data center facility operations.
Target Audience
The primary audiences for this course is an IT, Facilities, or Data Center Operations professional working in and around the data center and being responsible for achieving and improving hi-availability and manageability of the data center. Attendees should have some experience in data center operations, but it is not required.
Certification and Accreditation
The course concludes with a 60 multiple choice question certification exam. Passing is 75% or 45 correct out to 60 questions. Attendees who pass the exam will receive the official “Certified Data Center Facilities Operations Manager” certificate accredited by ICOR and in addition earn 2.1 CEU credits for ICOR.
ICOR’s Data Center Certifications offer data center professionals the opportunity to be recognized for the expertise they have acquired. In addition, employers can depend on hiring certified professionals who have the qualifications they need to run their mission critical sites. Vendors can get a step up on their competitors when holding a data center certification. EXIN, a global, independent, and not for profit examination provider, also accredits the CDFOM course. They offer the opportunity to re-take the exam if necessary using their online testing centers - in more than 125 countries.
