Essentials of Organizational Resilience OR 3000 Series - OR3000
Course Description:
Essentials of Organizational Resilience is a 10-course series that addresses the essential elements or characteristics of a resilient organization - whether it is a public, private or government entity. 21st-century organizations are taking on the new challenge of designing resilience into organizations - that is, designing resilience into their management of people, places, infrastructure, and work processes so they can bounce back from any kind of setback.
Resilience is the ability of an organization to rebound following a crisis or a disaster event. It is the ability to absorb strain. Building resilience into organizations entails a shift from a reactive to a proactive approach for crisis management and disaster recovery.
A resilient organization is one that is able to achieve its core objectives in the face of adversity.
It is not about responding to a one-time crisis or disaster event - it’s about continuously anticipating and adjusting to trends that can permanently impair the earning power of the organization.
